No. Every band in the app is clearly labelled "Estimated". Fluency and pronunciation are measured on your device from your actual speech; vocabulary and grammar are judged by AI from your transcript. IELTS is scored by human examiners, so treat our bands as a training signal — and log your real result in Progress so the estimates get more honest over time.
Fluent9 needs microphone and speech-recognition permission to score an attempt. If you declined either, open iOS Settings → Fluent9 and enable both Microphone and Speech Recognition, then reopen the app.
For free you can do up to 3 fully scored attempts a day on Part 1 and Part 2. Pro removes the daily limit and unlocks Part 3 discussions with AI follow-ups, the full Mock Interview, and "Your Voice, Band 8" model answers. Pro is available as an auto-renewing monthly subscription or a one-time 60-day Exam Pass — the same window as a One Skill Retake.
Open the paywall in the app and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you bought with. If it still doesn't unlock, email us and we'll help.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not inside the app. Go to iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, select Fluent9, and cancel there. The 60-day Exam Pass is a one-time purchase and does not renew, so there's nothing to cancel.
Your practice history and recordings live on your device. Delete individual attempts inside the app (touch and hold an attempt in Progress), or remove everything by uninstalling Fluent9. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Fluent9 requires an iPhone running a recent version of iOS. Scoring needs an internet connection for the AI criteria; recording, replay, and the measured fluency metrics work offline.
